Music has always been a huge part of my life starting when I was a teenager with my brother being the drummer in a band called Freakshow. They were a huge success in the tri-state area for over eight years and through them I was exposed to a variety of different bands and styles of music. At the same time, I also started meeting famous musicians through him and other friends. Those friends lead to new friends, so you get the idea! In 2003, with 18 years of business marketing experience, I decided to bring the bands I enjoyed closer to the fans by starting a website called experiencemetal.com and I have never looked back.
In 2004. the nickname "Mama Trash" was created by the UK fans of one of my first bands, Trashlight Vision, due to my maternal nature over the band. Ever since then the name (or persona!) took on a life of its own! Now dozens of bands around the globe, fondly call me "Mama." Mama Trash Promotions was officially founded in January 2006 and is incorporated in the state of Delaware in the United States. The Mama Trash “brand” consists of a talented roster of bands from around the world known as Mama Trash Family Artists (MTFA).
In addition to offering a variety of promotional packages to my clients, I hold an annual festival called "Trash Fest" in Helsinki, Finland every Spring giving MTFA an opportunity to share their music with fans from around the world! it is not just a festival, it is a family reunion fans and bands don't want to miss! Trash Fest IV is scheduled for March 31 - April 2, 2011 at Gloria in Helsinki. Additional tours/shows and festivals will be announced in 2011-2012.
