Dope Stars Inc. News!!

Dope Stars Inc. signs with Trisol Music Group, Metropolis Records and Subsound Records for the new album.
Hell'o netrunners of the 21th century. Today we announce an important news for the future of Dope Stars Inc., something that will definitely give us more strength and support to spread the infection with the new album.

To build a killer playground, we've recently upgraded our gears with a new set of lethal weapons not only for the album production, but also for it's distribution and promotion. So here we announce we have just signed a deal with Trisol Music Group for Europe, Metropolis Records in USA/Canada and Subsound Records for Italy for the release of the album in each territory. This means our new album will be supported by more than one label helping us to spread the name and music of Dope Stars Inc. worldwide and also giving us the opportunity of an intense album production in studio.

This will open also more opportunities for us to set up an International tour. We will be touring intensively after the release of the album that is scheduled for this spring (April/May), If you are a promoter interested in booking a show for the upcoming tour please write to booking@dopestarsinc.com or. If you are a fan and want us to come and play at your city please request us on eventful.com

More updates regarding the new album production and details will be announced in the upcoming weeks.

Exclusive song "Bad Things" up now thanks to David/HellFire Society...check them out today and at the Trash Fest II Kick Off Party in Helsinki on March 19th!

"All right soldiers,

Here some news. As I wrote in some old post I made a new cover, the reason is that I wanted a new song to play live @ Trash Fest and at the same time I wanted to do something that my friend Jo (MT) would have enjoyed.

The song was suppose to be kept secret till the Trash Fest but according with Jo we decided to upload it here and on the other profiles' (Trash Fest one, etc..) music players as well as a special preview.

Why a cover instead of an original song has been explained in the old post so I won't repeat it.

Here the story: Talking with Jo we find out we were both watching a popular tv series called True Blood, I'm sure some of you are familiar with it, well, I always liked the intro-theme song and I guessed it could have been the right choice for a cover, because it's a cool song already and it had potential for being turned into something darker and heavier, you know, HFS style.

The song is "Bad Things" by Jace Everett (who I hope will like our version as well), the song will not be included in the album or ever released, it's something I wanted to add to the live show playlist only, but while I was working on it, it turned out pretty cool IMHO, a cool mix too despite the recording had the only purpose of having the rest of the band learn the song, so I actually worked on it a lil more, mastered and here we go.

On Sunday (14 Dec) we will upload the song as the new "song of the week", which is what we have been doing for the last month with all the HFS original songs included in the album "The Angry Army", to give all of you the possibility to listen pretty much all the songs we are going to play and which, due to all the shit is going on with Brainstorm, thank you guys, we haven't been able to release yet (that problem will be solved in January 09, so stay tuned for the album).

The song will stay up for a while since we always take down the oldest one, has been recorded, mixed and mastered in my personal studio, or what is left of it I should say, arranged and played by me except for the bass which has been, of course, Trauma's duty.

I've been surprised and happy I found the concentration, inspiration (yeah, I do need a lil bit of inspiration too even when you just cover somebody else's song) and the strength (also thanks to Jo) to make new stuff despite my head has been, and still is, jammed up by other - totally not pleasant - thoughts. So, I really hope you'll like the song as much as we do.

Stay angry soldiers, see you @ the next show!

David HFS"

VIOLENT DIVINE will release their long awaited new album “In Harm’s Way” (Misty Recordings) on January 31, 2009. VIOLENT DIVINE and Pontus Norgren share a lot of musical influences like Ozzy Osbourne, Motley Crue and Accept, just to mention a few. The new album “In Harm’s Way” (Misty Recordings) is a massive hard rock album, mixing heavy metal, glam and classic hard rock, featuring 12 strong tracks in the true spirit of VIOLENT DIVINE.

The release of “In Harm’s Way” (Misty Recordings) will be preceded by the single and video “Blackheart”, released January 8 2009.

Track listing “In Harm’s Way”: 1. Let Them Burn 2. Pain 3. Blackheart 4. Days of Sorrow 5. I Am 6. Love is Divine 7. End of Times 8. Master of Reality 9. Happy Ever Afterlife 10. Skin Deep 11. This Love 12. Vampire Empire

International press said: “Rock and roll is back and going to be louder and more alive than ever before” and “twelve orgasmic tracks of sex, sex and rock n fuckin roll”
