MT: Give me five facts about yourself.

Alex:
1. I am half Swedish & half Latin American.
2. I am also currently single.
3. I have been involved with Trig.com since its primary vision, that’s a cool fact maybe. I push those guys and provide them with killer work and ideas. I've really enjoyed the experience.
4. Our bass player H is also involved with the design of the community, so we are having a kick ass time at Trig.com.
5. I'll pass on more facts for now, and we will see what the future brings, not much more cool stuff besides the music that I can think of right now.

MT: How did the band get together?

Alex: To make a long story short, the Sexydeath entertainment has been my therapy since 2003.My official debut was when I released the first single, 'She is a Maniac' in early 2003, but I've started to make and play around with perverted sexy music since 99. With Sexydeath I produce, record and edit my videos & website all in my dirty little filthlab back at home in Stockholm. Sexydeath really is the tool that allows me to cleanse myself. All heroes, pornstars, girlfriends, demons, frustrations, trends, books, films and characters that somehow affected my consciousness, are getting exorcised thru Sexydeath and this is the main reason to why I started this shit in the first place. In 2004 I've released my first album - 'The Damiana Error', an album that I've recorded with an mbox and have mixed through my old Akg 240 headphones. That was when things started rolling I guess. In the first lineup of Sexydeath I've used some other live musicians, but since 2005 I've been working with schitzo on guitar, H on bass and Ac9 manning the drums. I don’t like to call myself a solo artist, but until this year I used to work with SD all alone. For our upcoming 2007 record Schitzo is providing some killer ideas and H works with our design department .Ac9 is into the techy issues,he is working hard on our live and studio performance so yeah let's just say that we are a happy techy geeky sexy family.

MT: How would you describe Sexydeath music to someone not familiar with it?

Alex: The new album I am working on is a trip to dance, electro, ebm, newwave, metal, glam rock and pop shit I grew up listening to. This is more or less the core of SD for me, it is dark melancholic pop music with some heavy mother fucking guitars. You can dance, you can murder and you can fornicate to it - that is the way I personally like music to be. These days music genres are really a bitch to pin down, so it’s really all about making what I would love to listen to myself. I guess I am a genre tourist too, so Sexydeath may sound industrial, electro, alternative, synth or even neo-gothic to some. All I can say is that you should soak it in the way that appeals to you - do it slow or take it in deep or take it in fast, just dare to give it a try and rock & roll.

MT: Creative influences of all band members? When are you most creative in your song writing?

Alex: I always start the music with either a beat, a bass line or a guitar riff for my basic mood. Then I do a quick brainstorm session on the vocals, trying to fit that to the mood of the raw materials. With those jigsaw pieces, I sit down to fix up that puzzle, pimp it up with some cool noise, synths and beats. And finally I do the vocals and the record da shit.

H, our bass player comes from the Swedish school of metal & darkness, You can’t be Swede without getting some lessons in “Messhuggah at the Gates”, “The Haunted” & “Inflames” and he has been in metal bands before Sexydeath. He is also a fine singer that would beat the shit from your ears, so I'm guessing we will soon see him come back with his own band project as a singer. I can't wait to see what he will come up with.

Schitzo
I've met Schizo when he was very young, so we have been really feeding each other a lot in the past 2 years. This motherfucker loves metal, ebm, glam rock and dark synth.

Ac9
ac9 is mostly a dj with lots of musical interests. He is really into heavy disted techno when he puts the needle to it.

MT: Give me one word to describe each of you.

MT: Can you give me a little more info on the release of "Chemical Rabbit" & "Prototype Sugarwall" in February? Will this be European release only? How about the full CD in April 2007?

Alex: Right now I am in the process of the album making, I've gotten 13 songs programmed and almost done. Right now I'm hitting the finishing touches to the vocals and the production of the album. On the 8th of February 2007 we are going to release 2 videos and singles before we release the album. This week I'm in Barcelona to finish the last takes for the new video of “Prototype Sugarwalls”. It’s been a nice party over here I can tell. The full cd and dvd will be released online in April, and in June through standard distribution. We will soon notify you all of the news at Sexydeath.com.

MT: Any plans for a tour in 2007? Europe? US?

Alex: We are booking our summer right now, and initially we will tour back in Europe. We are frothing like hungry wolves - we can't wait to play and come over to as many places as possible during the year. We've been lucky to have this online support from such an amazing bunch of people asking and wondering about our dementia, and I really care and love it all. All these vibes make me really thirsty to go out and murder ourselves on stage night after night. Sexydeath will be close to your hell sooner or later - we promise.

MT: What made you decide to become a musician/singer?

Alex: Art for me is just a tool to externalize or communicate with my internals, and Sexydeath is a way for me to understand my own mind. It helps me to spot my enigmas and to make it thru dystopia. I've discovered that my alter ego and reality became more solid when I purified myself through vivid art. I guess you make of life what you want to make out of it, and I just do what burns inside of me, which means that right now I am playing this little game in an age of sexual decay and a dead generation. It keeps me going.

MT: If you could choose to become invisible, stop time or fly, which one would you choose and why?

Alex: Shit these are the ideal metaphors for some episodes in my recent dreams you know - creepy. I guess traveling in time would be the main thing to do for me. I would go back in time, bring an m60 machine gun, a history book and I would pimp history up a bit - no Napoleon, no Hitler, no ethnicity, no wars, no Marilyn Monroe, no Mother fucking Michael Jackson..... Hah, this could be a nice video game by the way - the mama trash travel machine.....
