Anzi Destruction shares his thoughts with Mama Trash...
Stereo Junks! is having a break right now. We
will come back in some form someday.
But now I have other things on my mind...

Voc - Anzi Destruction
Guitar - Sir Christus
Guitar - Jack Smack
Bass - Sohei Murakami
Drums - Mr.Kunt
We have had two project bands, Evil Boys (Stiv
Bators tribute) and Thunderbombs (Johnny Thunders tribute) with Jack during the
years. We've been always thinking that someday we will put our own band
together. In November 2008 we had a gig with Evil Boys in Lapland. Christus was
with us that time. At some point we came up with an idea that it would be nice
to put a band together. That was just an idea back then, nothing serious.
Anyway, timing wasn't right back then. We all were busy with other bands and all
that...
We were recording SJ! album in December 2009. Recording wasn't going as smooth
as earlier... all kinds of frustrations, members lack of motivation, things
happening around the band and on top of that Charly was moving to Spain. Main
reason was the general frustration working seven years with SJ! It hadn't been
fun for a long time anymore. I said let's quit for now and continue when the
time is better. Now that I think about it it was one of the best decisions I
have ever made. I was born again :)
There was magic in the air cos actually the same week I got a phone call from
Christus. He said he will move to Helsinki and put a band together with me and
Jack! I said ok, come here let's Rock :)
We didn't even have to look for other members Mr. Kunt and Sohei Murakami from Stereo Junks! were obvious rhythm pattern for the new group!
Next week from that I was already writing
material for the new band! For couple of months we were just writing songs,
making plans and discussing with a few record labels. In the end of January 2010
we had our first rehearsals. We had like 200 name ideas for the band. It was
really hard to come up with the name. One day Jack had the name "Salvation" with
big letters in his scratch book. He showed it to us and that was it!
However, everything didn't work as planned. Mr. Kunt got heart muscle infection
in February. He was rushed into the hospital and Doctor's order was to rest for
five weeks. No drums, just laying down. That really got us worried! Mr. Kunt
fully recovered and we got to start rehearsing in March 2010.
We haven't released anything with The Salvation yet but somehow someone got a hint that we were making songs and rehearsing together and now many music magazines are writing about us and we've even been on TV! ?
We now have full album of new songs the band is ready to kill and we are starving to hit the stage for the first time in Turku on the 23rd of April
-Stay tuned
